Wage: $26.00 per hour.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Covering Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will install, repair, and replace a variety of floor coverings in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and the ability to work with a range of materials and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, measure, and prepare floor surfaces for installation.
- Measure, cut, and install floor covering materials such as carpet, vinyl, linoleum, laminate, and other resilient flooring.
- Lay and secure underpadding and foundation materials.
- Stretch, tack, glue, or fasten floor coverings using hand and power tools.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
- Remove and dispose of old floor coverings and debris safely.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and layout specifications.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in floor covering installation is an asset.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physical ability to kneel, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills in English.
- Completion of secondary school may be an asset.
Work Conditions:
- Fast-paced work environment.
- Physically demanding tasks including lifting, carrying, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
- Work may take place at residential, commercial, or construction sites.
Compensation:
- Starting wage of $26.00 per hour.
- Hours count towards journeymen or Red Seal apprenticeships.
- Benefits after 3 months.
